Whitmill Hill Farm, Badby Lane, Staverton NN11 6DE

Overlooking the rolling Northamptonshire countryside, close to the village of Staverton, Isis Builders are constructing just four traditional homes and reinstating a 19th century cottage at Whitmill Hill Farm. This south facing site looks out to Arbury Hill, the source of three famous English rivers: the Cherwell heads south, the Leam heads west and the Nene north east.

Staverton Village is in the south west corner of rural Northamptonshire, a few miles from the Oxfordshire and Warwickshire borders. Staverton itself is found in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Stavefertun or “staved settlement”, a reference to its wooded past.

The Jurassic Way footpath between Banbury and Stamford, a medieval route, passes through the village. The parish church of The Blessed Virgin Mary, has been a Christian place of worship for over 1,000 years although the first recorded priest appears in records in 1220 AD. The present building dates from 1300 AD with some traces of older architecture such as the Norman ‘lancet window’ in the north west corner.

Schooling

Staverton’s Church of England Primary School is situated on Glebe Lane with approximately 100 boys and girls from 4-11 years of age.

There are a number of independent and preparatory schools all within a 30 minute drive of Whitmill Hill Farm.
